Decompression Traction Therapy

Here at Torkelson Chiropractic, P.A. we have done extensive research into spinal decompression therapy to bring the most advanced spinal care to our patients. Just because we live in rural Kansas doesn't mean we can't have some of the best care available. We are very excited to offer spinal decompresssion with our new state of the art Triton DTStm Traction System.

What does this mean for you?

  • Much more comfortable traction therapy. Often times patients fall asleep while on the Triton DTS.
  • The Triton DTS has parameters that mimic hands-on therapy.
  • Now you don't need to travel out of town to receive decompression therapy.
  • Less time off work and lost wages not to mention precious time out of your day.
  • No long car ride after your decompression treatment compressing your discs.

Are you a Decompression Therapy patient?

Decompression therapy is an FDA approved effective treatment for:

    1. Herniated Discs
    2. Degenerative Disc Disease
    3. Facet Syndrome
    4. Sciatica
    5. Post-surgical patients
    6. Spinal Stenosis

Some contraindications for Decompressive Therapy are:

    1. Pregnancy
    2. Severe Osteoporosis
    3. Surgical Hardware i.e. screws, plates etc.
    4. Severe Obesity

Decompression therapy is a passive therapy that can be utilized to decrease your pain. It does not "cure" abnormal posture and alterations of spinal curves however it does relieve lower back and neck pain by improving disc health thus allowing you to begin a rehabilitative program to correct underlying spinal biomechanical dysfunctions. If you can't perform your daily activities due to pain, how can you expect to begin a rehab regimen. Decompression can often enhance the healing process and offer amazing pain relief.

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "I was very impressed with the chiropractic care I received from Dr. Anderson. I had received chiropractic in the past for my neck pain, but not to this level of care. After only a few sessions, my symptoms began to disappear, especially my neck pain, and I know I would not have been able to perform to my everyday work functions without the treatment I received."

  • "I have benefitted tremendously from the chiropractic care I received from Dr. Anderson. Not only has the adjustments helped alleviate my stiffness and aches, but it has helped me have more energy and just feel more balanced over all. A few months ago, I was able to resume a favorite hobby of mine: golf. Due to my previous pain, I never thought that’d be possible."
    Back Pain
  • "Dr. Anderson has allowed me to be headache free for quite some time now. I used to have daily nagging headaches that often would turn into a migraine leaving me unable to function. For the longest time, I thought I could just keep taking medication to have the pain subside."
    Headaches
  • "As a court reporter, using my hands to type on a daily basis is a requirement. The work is speedy and can often last for hours at a time. Several months ago, every movement I made became excruciatingly painful. I started seeing Dr. Anderson and he put together a program for me that helped right away. He stressed the importance of my posture and proper hand and arm placement."
    Carpal Tunnel
  • "It's been 7 months since I got wiped out by a monster wave. I sought treatment at the hospital and they took x-rays and said everything seemed normal, that I would just have some pain for a few days. A few days actually turned into several weeks, so at the suggestion of my girlfriend, I went to see Dr. Anderson."
